The courageous act of examining the truth in our stories is probably one of the most underrated things a person can do. It’s the denying of those truths, and the discomfort they bring, that leads us to behaviours that distract, that numb, that bring temporary pleasure or relief, but when we have the honest conversations with ourselves, we know the denial isn’t a sustainable process. And it’s not the path to freedom.
So what is?
I believe that when we can see beyond the emotions and the suffering, we can tap into our deepest truth,
and that is when the healing begins.
Hi, I’m Mel.
I’ve overcome my own cycle of suffering by making some crucial steps that lead to my healing. My pain lead to addictive tendencies, and I felt out of control in my life. In the beginning, they brought comfort which lulled me into a false sense of security. What started out as a coping mechanism turned into something I became dependant on, just to function. It was easier for me to distract, to numb, to suppress what I was feeling, than to work through the underlying pain beneath it. I’ll be honest, I didn’t know a better way.
But after seeing so many around me faced with their own mortality, it became increasingly clear that something had to change. I had to cultivate the courage to examine the truth behind my own issues and face my suffering head on. When every last excuse was taken away, I had no other choice but to take responsibility for my health, and my happiness.
Today, I use the strategies I learned to help others do the same.
My Process
My mission in life is to support those who are ready for change. They’re tired of feeling limited by their suffering, and their stories, and are ready to create a life filled with new, healthy patterns that support and nurture their joy.
My work helps those who are ready to feel, to transmute, to heal, and to release their pain in order to transform their suffering into freedom. They’re people who are ready to rise to the life their heart’s been longing for them to live.
